Come From Away helps 9/11 remembrance and our kindness movement grow
When audiences see Come From Away (either on stage at one of hundreds of theatres around the world, or through the Apple TV pro shot (Broadway cast performance), they remember the 9/11 tragedy (we said we'd "never forget") and want to live in a world that is more like Gander, Canada.
Here are tools to help you organize your own
Come From Away video screening and kindness discussion, or charity partnership between local theatre productions of Come From Away.
ST. LOUIS, MO- THE MUNY More than 200 patrons attended a pre-performance talk by Kevin Tuerff. The Muny theater conducted a donation drive for a local immigrant center and invited Kevin T to do an Instagram takeover of the @themuny Instagram channel performing random acts of kindness across St. Louis
INVITING THEATRE PARTNERSHIPS
Hundreds of regional and community theatres across the world are now producing licensed Come From Away musical productions. We invite them to join our charity as an official partner promoting kindness and unity in your community.
Our "Volunteer of the Year" Lydia Greatrix organized donation drives at more than a dozen UK theatres, where patrons brought canned goods for food banks, fresh socks for homeless shelters and more.
Consider using your theatre as a collection point for local charities for people in need (Think the song "Blankets and Bedding!").
If you're able to collect spare change for Pay it Forward 9/11, the money will donated will support our kindness education programs.
