Collecting donations for our Pay it Forward 9/11 charity supports the expansion of "11Days of Kindness for Kids" classroom lesson plans and activities for K-12 students and families. Founder Kevin Tuerff and board secretary Jeanette Gutierrez stood in front of a lobby sign with a QR code at St. Joseph's Regional High School in New Jersey.

INVITING THEATRE PARTNERSHIPS
More than 1,000 community theatres and high schools across the world are now producing licensed Come From Away musical productions from MTI. We invite them to join our charity as an official partner promoting kindness and unity in your community.
Our 2025 "Volunteer of the Year" Lydia Greatrix organized donation drives at more than a dozen UK theatres, where patrons brought canned goods for food banks, fresh socks for homeless shelters and more.
See how the Ovation Theatre in California invited the cast to perform a "Kindness Crawl" giving away free flower bouquets to strangers in their community.
Consider using your theatre as a collection point for local charities for people in need (Think the song "Blankets and Bedding!").
If you're able to collect spare change for Pay it Forward 9/11, the money donated will support our kindness education programs. Pass the yellow Souwester' hats in the musical after the performance, inviting donations from patrons. Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Illinois raised a record $4,600 for Pay it Forward 9/11!

MAUI, HAWAII: The first community theatre in the US to present Come From Away invited "real Kevin T" to deliver at a post-performance talk, record social media promotions, sell and sign copies of "Channel of Peace: Stranded in Gander on 9/11."
